Professional Education Program

The ATLAS Center recognizes the importance of reaching out to transportation safety professionals to help advance the state of knowledge in the field of transportation safety. Our Center faculty is committed to sharing their expertise and knowledge on traffic safety topics of interest with your organization. The Professional Education Program uses a wide array of educational approaches such as on-site instruction, lectures and talks, hosting conferences and seminars, and web-based media to inform this distinct group of individuals and organizations.

We welcome and encourage professionals involved in transportation safety to suggest to us topics you would like to learn more about.  The ATLAS Center faculty can create educational materials, provide instruction, and/or help facilitate information sharing on a wide variety of traffic safety topics. Examples include older drivers and medication usage, child passenger safety issues, heavy truck research, occupant protection, and social influences on teen driving.

Please contact with your suggestions or to obtain more information about this program.

The ATLAS Center is a collaboration between the University of Michigan (U-M) Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) and Texas A&M Transportation Institute
